Lucia Footwear Co. is a custom footwear design company that provides professional hand-painted artwork across all types of footwear, sports equipment, luxury goods, and more. Lucia Footwear is founded and operated by 27 year-old Anthony De Lucia. Lucia Footwear is based on Long Island, New York.

Anthony has always had an obsession with two things: baseball and sneakers. Anthony has been involved in baseball his entire life. He played at a regionally ranked high school, and was the Captain and President of his college Club Baseball team. As a kid, Anthony collected thousands of baseball cards, memorizing and reciting the statistics of his favorite players for hours on end every day.

In 2011, Anthony started collecting sneakers, and began learning the ins and outs of the sneaker market, as well as the history, construction, and technology of nearly every sneaker, new and old. The sneaker culture has had a huge impact on his life, having bought, sold, traded, and worn thousands of sneakers over the course of nearly fifteen years.

In 2017, Anthony began painting baseball cleats and sneakers for close friends as a hobby while pursuing a Finance degree. With minimal art experience and a kitchen table, the makeshift gig quickly turned into a fully functional luxury service business.

Within just a few months, baseball players from the teams Anthony grew up rooting for began to reach out on his Instagram page. As a fan of the sport, this experience was surreal for Anthony. Being paid to create something for these professional athletes to wear, enjoy, and cherish was unbelievable.

8 years later, Anthony has the opportunity to have his custom work on the feet of thousands of collegiate, amateur, and professional athletes, and collaborate with some of the most notable brands and influencers in the world, while getting to work alongside some of the most talented artists in the industry. 

Lucia Footwear specializes as a MLB-Approved Footwear Designer, working with hundreds of players and teams across all 30 organizations. Some notable superstar clients over the years include David Wright, Aaron Judge, Gerrit Cole, Pete Alonso, Julio Rodríguez, Jose Altuve, and hundreds of others.

With the support of many clients, agents, and brands that have grown to become part of the #LuciaFam, Anthony's college side hustle continues to grow as one of the premier names in customized footwear.
